How can I export/import a Divi Area?

Export a Divi Area

Open the Divi Area editor, then click the “Portability” icon in the Visual Builder (the up/down arrows). Once you click the “Export Divi Builder Layout” button, Divi generates an export file. That .json file can be shared with other people or our support team, or you can import it on any other website that uses Divi Areas Pro.

What is exported:

  • The Area contents (everything you see inside the Visual Builder)
  • All settings inside the “Divi Area” metabox

What is not exported:

  • Publish state or date
  • Area categories
  • Custom fields

Import a Divi Area

Create a new Divi Area and click the “Portability” icon in the Visual Builder (the up/down arrows). Select an exported Divi Builder Layout file (always a .json file) and hit the blue “Import Divi Builder Layout” button.

During import, the current Visual Builder contents are replaced with the imported layout. After that, the plugin checks if the import file contains any Divi Area metabox values. When settings are detected, you can optionally import them as well.
